About the Role

Curr­ent­ly, we are loo­king for an orga­ni­zed and dedi­ca­ted indi­vi­du­al to join our R&D team as a Deve­lo­p­ment Engi­neer PLC Soft­ware (m/f/d) in Vol­kets­wil.

  • Con­cep­tua­li­zing and crea­ting PLC soft­ware within the frame­work of machi­ne and modu­le deve­lo­p­ment, pro­duct main­ten­an­ce, and cus­to­mer pro­jects in an inter­di­sci­pli­na­ry con­text, con­side­ring func­tion­al, safe­ty, and time requi­re­ments
  • Deve­lo­ping and test­ing machine/module pro­to­ty­pes
  • Eva­lua­ting new tech­no­lo­gies and methods
  • Con­tri­bu­ting to the design and imple­men­ta­ti­on of pro­ces­ses and gui­de­lines for PLC soft­ware deve­lo­p­ment and docu­men­ta­ti­on
  • Sup­port­ing:
    • Sales in revie­w­ing and eva­lua­ting chan­ge requests
    • Assem­bly in the deve­lo­p­ment and trai­ning of com­mis­sio­ning pro­ce­du­res
    • Hot­line with 3rd level sup­port cases

What You Need to Be Suc­cessful

  • A tech­ni­cal degree (./.) in Mecha­ni­cal Engi­nee­ring, Sys­tems Engi­nee­ring, Elec­tri­cal Engi­nee­ring, Auto­ma­ti­on, or a rela­ted field
  • Expe­ri­ence in a simi­lar envi­ron­ment is an advan­ta­ge — but recent gra­dua­tes are also encou­ra­ged to app­ly
  • Fami­lia­ri­ty with modu­lar PLC soft­ware deve­lo­p­ment (pre­fer­a­b­ly using B&R Auto­ma­ti­on Stu­dio) is a plus
  • Know­ledge of safe­ty func­tion design and imple­men­ta­ti­on is a bene­fit
  • A struc­tu­red, ana­ly­ti­cal, and solu­ti­on-ori­en­ted approach
  • A col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve mind­set, with the abili­ty to work inde­pendent­ly when nee­ded
  • Strong com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills in Ger­man and Eng­lish both spo­ken and writ­ten (requi­red)
