Pro­ject: We are see­king an expe­ri­en­ced Python Backend Deve­lo­per (m/f/d) to join a dyna­mic team focu­sed on buil­ding and main­tai­ning robust backend sys­tems. In this role, you will work first-hand on deve­lo­ping and mana­ging the data infra­struc­tu­re that under­pins key ener­gy and tra­ding pro­ces­ses. You will design sca­lable APIs and data models, ensu­ring high-qua­li­ty, relia­ble data pro­ducts for inter­nal use

Tasks:

  • Deve­lop and ope­ra­tio­na­li­ze per­for­mant, high-available and sca­lable APIs & ser­vices to pro­vi­de acces­si­ble and qua­li­ty data pro­ducts intern­al­ly.
  • Defi­ne, imple­ment and main­tain per­for­mant data models as well as robust and sca­lable sto­rage solu­ti­ons.
  • Estab­lish and imple­ment methods and too­ling to impro­ve over­all data qua­li­ty and lineage capa­bi­li­ties.
  • Work clo­se­ly with cross-func­tion­al teams to under­stand their data needs, ensu­ring ali­gnment with busi­ness objec­ti­ves and pro­vi­ding data-dri­ven solu­ti­ons.
  • Col­la­bo­ra­te with our inter­nal infra­struc­tu­re team on cloud solu­ti­ons, spe­ci­fi­cal­ly build and main­tain IaaS tasks.
  • Trans­la­te busi­ness requi­re­ments into tech­ni­cal spe­ci­fi­ca­ti­ons, deve­lop solu­ti­ons, and ensu­re their cost-effec­ti­ve­ness and sus­taina­bi­li­ty.

Requi­red Skills & Expe­ri­ence:

  • A com­pe­tent python deve­lo­per with 5–7 years’ expe­ri­ence and exten­si­ve prac­ti­cal know­ledge in one or more wide­ly adopted pro­gramming lan­guages (C#, Java or simi­lar).
  • Pri­or expe­ri­ence with Cloud infra­struc­tu­re and ser­vices (pre­fer­a­b­ly Azu­re) and ide­al­ly have demons­tra­ted hands-on expe­ri­ence with Kuber­netes, CI/CD pipe­lines as well as broa­der DevOps prac­ti­ces.
  • Working know­ledge of data­ba­se tech­no­lo­gies (pre­fer­a­b­ly Post­greS­QL).
  • Being a hands-on pro­blem sol­ver, com­plex pro­blem ana­ly­sis and solu­ti­on-design thin­king are among your core strengths.
  • You bring strong com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills and can adapt to, mana­ge and influence a varie­ty of busi­ness & IT stake­hol­ders.
  • Prac­ti­cal expe­ri­ence with work­flow orchestra­ti­on tools such as Apa­che Air­flow, Pre­fect or simi­lar, ensu­ring the effi­ci­ent sche­du­ling and moni­to­ring of data work­flows pre­fer­red
  • Expe­ri­ence imple­men­ting (from a tech­ni­cal per­spec­ti­ve) data lineage- and data cata­lo­gue frame­works would be an advan­ta­ge
  • You have an under­stan­ding of the ener­gy and/or tra­ding indus­try.
