For our cli­ent, an inter­na­tio­nal com­pa­ny based in Els­au, we are loo­king for a dedi­ca­ted Process/System Engi­neer (f/m/d).

We repre­sent a glo­bal lea­der in manu­fac­tu­ring exhaust aftert­re­at­ment sys­tems for high-hor­se­power engi­nes in both mobi­le and sta­tio­na­ry ope­ra­ti­ons. Their appli­ca­ti­ons span a wide ran­ge, from mari­ne engi­nes with an out­put of 200kW up to mas­si­ve power plant engi­nes gene­ra­ting 20MW. In addi­ti­on, our cli­ent is at the fore­front of deve­lo­ping inno­va­ti­ve sys­tems spe­ci­fi­cal­ly desi­gned for the use of alter­na­ti­ve fuels such as metha­nol, hydro­gen, and ammo­nia. Your Respon­si­bi­li­ties:

  • Tech­ni­cal respon­si­bi­li­ty for exhaust aftert­re­at­ment sys­tems and their sub­sys­tems, such as cata­ly­tic con­ver­ters, par­ti­cu­la­te fil­ters, steel struc­tures, pro­cess equip­ment, mea­su­re­ment and con­trol tech­no­lo­gy
  • Pro­ject-spe­ci­fic coor­di­na­ti­on of inter­nal and exter­nal engi­nee­ring acti­vi­ties
  • Fur­ther deve­lo­p­ment of sys­tems for future cus­to­mer and mar­ket requi­re­ments (e.g., alter­na­ti­ve fuels, deman­ding emis­si­on requi­re­ments, or appli­ca­ti­ons)
  • Appli­ca­ti­on and fur­ther deve­lo­p­ment of modern simu­la­ti­on tools for the design and opti­miza­ti­on of the over­all sys­tem
  • Inter­di­sci­pli­na­ry col­la­bo­ra­ti­on on deve­lo­p­ment pro­jects and tech­ni­cal con­sul­ting for spe­cia­list depart­ments such as qua­li­ty, sales, pro­ject manage­ment, and ser­vice
  • Assump­ti­on of pro­ject respon­si­bi­li­ty, inclu­ding resour­ce plan­ning
  • Plan­ning, imple­men­ta­ti­on, and docu­men­ta­ti­on of mul­ti-day emis­si­on mea­su­re­ments for sys­tem vali­da­ti­on at the customer’s site and on test ben­ches
  • Ensu­ring com­pli­ance with rele­vant cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on and clas­si­fi­ca­ti­on requi­re­ments
  • Tech­ni­cal super­vi­si­on of stu­dents during intern­ships and the­sis work
  • Pre­sen­ta­ti­on of new deve­lo­p­ments at inter­na­tio­nal con­fe­ren­ces and publi­ca­ti­on in sci­en­ti­fic media

Your Qua­li­fi­ca­ti­ons:

  • A degree in mecha­ni­cal engi­nee­ring, pro­cess engi­nee­ring, or a com­pa­ra­ble tech­ni­cal field
  • Seve­ral years of pro­fes­sio­nal expe­ri­ence in the deve­lo­p­ment and design of tech­ni­cal sys­tems, ide­al­ly in the field of exhaust gas aftert­re­at­ment or emis­si­on tech­no­lo­gy
  • A sound under­stan­ding of the struc­tu­re and func­tio­ning of tech­ni­cal sys­tems, in par­ti­cu­lar phy­si­cal and che­mi­cal pro­ces­ses
  • Expe­ri­ence with steel struc­tures, pumps, sen­sor tech­no­lo­gy, con­trol and regu­la­ti­on tech­no­lo­gy
  • Strong ana­ly­ti­cal, sys­te­ma­tic, and net­work­ed thin­king pai­red with high self-moti­va­ti­on, resi­li­ence, and inde­pen­dence
  • Abili­ty to work in a team, strong com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills, and con­fi­dent man­ner
  • Ambi­ti­on to take on lea­der­ship respon­si­bi­li­ty
  • Wil­ling­ness to tra­vel occa­sio­nal­ly (approx. 15%)
  • Advan­ced Ger­man and Eng­lish skills, both writ­ten and spo­ken
