Rohan Büch­ner — Engi­nee­ring Mana­ger Backend — Lin­ke­dIn

Two of our online mar­ket­places, and are loo­king for a Backend Engi­neer with Go skills to join their team.

How are we working in the Team? &#;
We work in stream-ali­gned pro­duct teams using the SCRUM metho­do­lo­gy. Each team includes 2 3 Backend Engi­neers, a Pro­duct Owner, an Engi­nee­ring Mana­ger, Desi­gners and Mobi­le and Web Engi­neers.

Our teams col­la­bo­ra­te clo­se­ly with Plat­form (infra­struc­tu­re) and Data (BI) teams, and each pro­duct team owns a spe­ci­fic domain. Engi­neers are respon­si­ble for design, imple­men­ta­ti­on, deploy­ment, and moni­to­ring.

We run Go-based backend ser­vices on AWS with Kuber­netes, deploy­ing dai­ly to over 300k users.
Code is review­ed and deploy­ed direct­ly from Git­Hub.

Our stack includes Post­greS­QL, Ela­s­tic­se­arch, Redis, Send­Grid (emails), and Auth0 (authen­ti­ca­ti­on).
We main­tain high test covera­ge using tools like Testi­fy, with inte­gra­ti­on tests for data­ba­ses, Redis, and Kaf­ka.

What will you bring to the ride?

&#;Strong Go pro­gramming skills, we expect about 3 years of expe­ri­ence in Go
&#;Proven expe­ri­ence with stron­gly typed lan­guages in com­plex set­tings, inclu­ding buil­ding and deli­ve­ring web ser­vices
&#;A track record of at least 3+ years making high-impact tech­ni­cal decis­i­ons and dri­ving pro­ject out­co­mes
&#;A posi­ti­ve atti­tu­de and pas­si­on for your craft mat­ter more than che­cking every box
&#;We value prag­ma­tic, empa­the­tic team mem­bers who stri­ve to under­stand others befo­re see­king to be unders­tood
