In this new posi­ti­on, you are con­tri­bu­ting to the next gene­ra­ti­on of Pro­cess Auto­ma­ti­on devices. This work is a cor­ner­stone of the rea­liza­ti­on of the GF Piping Sys­tems Pro­cess Auto­ma­ti­on Stra­tegyAs an R&D Stan­dard & Appr­ovals Mana­ger, you will play an important role in the inter­nal acti­vi­ties of GF Piping Sys­tems by ensu­ring the appli­ca­ti­on of the cor­rect norms and stan­dards. You will be the respon­si­ble per­son from set­ting up the cor­re­spon­ding requi­re­ments over obtai­ning the appr­ovals to ensu­ring neces­sa­ry reap­pr­ovals in time. With your proac­ti­ve atti­tu­de, you will work with an inter­nal and exter­nal part­ner net­work on a glo­bal sca­le.

Your tasks:

  • Actively sup­port col­le­agues from deve­lo­p­ment in app­ly­ing the requi­re­ments of the stan­dard cor­rect­ly and in unco­ve­ring gaps and risks
  • Respon­si­ble for stan­dards and appr­ovals for sen­sors, val­ve dri­ves and trans­mit­ters in pro­cess auto­ma­ti­on
  • Work out glo­bal appr­oval- and con­for­mi­ty con­cepts
  • Crea­te sub­mis­si­on docu­ments and car­ry out the appr­oval pro­jects inde­pendent­ly
  • Dri­ve neces­sa­ry re-cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­ons
  • Proac­tively build and main­tain clo­se part­ner­ships with part­ners and govern­ment agen­ci­es around the world
  • Col­la­bo­ra­te with inter­nal and exter­nal bodies and part­ners world­wi­de
  • Keep your know­ledge of appli­ca­ble stan­dards up to date with the help of spe­cia­list lite­ra­tu­re

Your pro­fi­le:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 3 years of prac­ti­cal expe­ri­ence in the deve­lo­p­ment of elec­tri­cal pro­ducts for the pro­cess indus­try or simi­lar
  • Expe­ri­ence with in an Stan­dard & Appr­ovals, role ide­al­ly in the sensors‑, mea­su­re­ment- or pro­cess auto­ma­ti­on indus­try
  • Good expe­ri­ence with cULus and CE
  • Ide­al­ly addi­tio­nal expe­ri­ence with NSF, KTW, UKCA, ATEX, CSA, EC1935, 3A, EHEDG, metro­lo­gi­cal appr­ovals, mari­ne appr­ovals or func­tion appr­ovals
  • Ide­al­ly fur­ther expe­ri­ence with IECor IEC
  • Good know­ledge of Eng­lish
  • Per­mis­si­on to work in Switz­er­land (at least an EU citi­zen­ship or alre­a­dy a work per­mit for Switz­er­land is nee­ded)
