The site in Visp, Switz­er­land is gro­wing and for our Bio­lo­gics orga­niza­ti­on, we are see­king an Auto­ma­ti­on Engi­neer 80–100% (m/f/d) who can imple­ment the Visp Bio­lo­gics Auto­ma­ti­on Reci­pe Life­cy­cle to sup­port Lonza’s manu­fac­tu­ring ope­ra­ti­ons and work clo­se­ly with other teams across all of the Bio­lo­gics Manu­fac­tu­ring assets and coor­di­na­te reci­pe object updates, test­ing, docu­men­ta­ti­on, and instal­la­ti­on.

You must have a pas­si­on for Bio­tech­no­lo­gy and have the ambi­ti­on to join our Lon­za talent com­mu­ni­ty. You sup­port the stan­dar­diza­ti­on and opti­miza­ti­on of the auto­ma­ted pro­duc­tion pro­cess. Key respon­si­bi­li­ties:

  • Sup­ports imple­men­ta­ti­on of a stan­dar­di­zed reci­pe life­cy­cle approach for pro­ducts alre­a­dy in the rou­ti­ne manu­fac­tu­ring pha­se

  • Con­tri­bu­tes to deve­lo­p­ment of recipes for New Pro­duc­tion Intro­duc­tion

  • Co-aut­hors cGMP-com­pli­ant docu­men­ta­ti­on (FS, Soft­ware Test Cases, SOPs, etc.) in agree­ment with the Biopro­cess engi­neer, Plant Lead, QA, and MSAT

  • Moni­tors and chan­ges pro­ces­ses under chan­ge con­trol during the start-up, qua­li­fi­ca­ti­on and pro­duc­tion pha­se. Par­ti­ci­pa­te in risk and pro­cess devia­ti­on ana­ly­ses

  • Assists in buil­ding and modi­fy­ing shared reci­pe objects, and defi­ning EC Modu­les in the MES / Del­taV or equi­va­lent expe­ri­ence sys­tems used in run­ning pro­duc­tion pro­ces­ses

  • Con­tri­bu­tes to impro­ving pro­ce­du­res and pro­ces­ses in com­pli­ance with the safe­ty, hygie­ne, envi­ron­men­tal and qua­li­ty requi­re­ments in the area of respon­si­bi­li­ty

Key requi­re­ments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bio­tech­no­lo­gy / Com­pu­ter Engineering/ Sci­ence or equi­va­lent expe­ri­ence

  • Struc­tu­red, focu­sed and well orga­ni­zed work ethic. Solu­ti­on-ori­en­ta­ted and open-min­ded for new insights

  • Exper­ti­se with MES Syn­ca­de or Del­taV is a high­ly desi­red and fami­lia­ri­ty with other GMP sys­tems (LIMS, SAP, MODA, etc.)

  • Abili­ty to reco­gni­ze risks in rela­ti­on to secu­ri­ty or com­pli­ance / GMP, dis­cus­ses them and helps rec­ti­fy them.

  • Expe­ri­ence in working in a team and good col­la­bo­ra­ti­on skills

  • Good under­stan­ding of IT / pro­cess con­trol sys­tems. Reco­gni­zes ope­ra­tio­nal opti­miza­ti­on poten­ti­al

  • Busi­ness pro­fi­ci­ent in Eng­lish
