Respon­si­bi­li­ty

  • Deve­lop and main­tain GCP-com­pli­ant data­ba­ses for sci­en­ti­fic rese­arch pro­jects (e.g. secu­Tri­al)
  • Mana­ge data clea­ning, data review, data query reso­lu­ti­on pro­ce­du­res and data extra­c­tions within agreed time­lines
  • Sys­te­ma­tic data­ba­se and data qua­li­ty assu­rance, secu­re sto­rage and archi­ving per inter­nal requi­re­ments and ICH-GCP gui­de­lines
  • Deve­lop and main­tain respec­ti­ve code­books for the data­ba­ses
  • Moni­tor and main­tain the ope­ra­ti­on of data­ba­ses in coope­ra­ti­on with the inter­nal IT depart­ment and exter­nal sup­port pro­vi­ders
  • Sup­port, train and coun­sel rese­ar­chers from data­ba­se spe­ci­fi­ca­ti­on to archi­ving accor­ding to inter­nal SOPs and ICH-GCP gui­de­lines
  • Wri­te, review, and appro­ve tech­ni­cal and user rela­ted data manage­ment docu­ments
  • Sup­port the main­ten­an­ce of fur­ther inter­nal data­ba­ses and full­stack web appli­ca­ti­ons (front­end and backend) based on PHP
  • Teach on data manage­ment topics

Qua­li­fi­ca­ti­ons

  • Uni­ver­si­ty degree (or equi­va­lent) in life sci­en­ces or tech­ni­cal disci­pli­nes
  • Seve­ral years’ expe­ri­ence as data mana­ger in cli­ni­cal and/or epi­de­mio­lo­gi­cal rese­arch
  • Pro­fi­ci­ent in one of the lea­ding elec­tro­nic data cap­tu­re sys­tems (i.e., secu­Tri­al, RED­Cap)
  • Pro­fi­ci­ent in using R Stu­dio and Sta­ta
  • Know­ledge in PHP frame­works and expe­ri­ence in working with MyS­QL data­ba­ses, HTML, CSS und Java­Script
  • Know­ledge of inter­na­tio­nal cli­ni­cal rese­arch regu­la­ti­ons and requi­re­ments (e.g. ICH/GCP) is an advan­ta­ge
  • Excel­lent Ger­man (busi­ness flu­ent) and good Eng­lish lan­guage skills; both spo­ken and writ­ten
  • Soft skills: Self-mana­ged and struc­tu­red way of working, strong cus­to­mer ori­en­ta­ti­on, able to work and com­mu­ni­ca­te in a team
