What you can expect from us
To support our infrastructure department, we are seeking a skilled SAN/NAS Storage Engineer with good technical knowledge in storage infrastructure.
You will be responsible for conceptualizing storage strategies, implementing high-performance storage solutions and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of blocks, files and objects storage protocols, performance tuning, disaster recovery, data migration and backup.
Knowledge of frameworks such as TOGAF or BMPN as well as experience in project management and service provider coordination is an additional advantage.

Your tasks
- Design, implement and manage SAN (FC), NAS (NetApp FAS, AFF Series) and S3 storage solutions
- Optimize storage performance, capacity planning, and scalability for our Enterprise environment
- Troubleshoot storage arrays and switches in coordination with the OP team
- Work with ESXi virtualization and Cisco UCS solutions / implementation
- Automate storage provisioning and management using scripts (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
- Collaborate with IT projects to support necessary demands
- Provide high documentation quality for projects and process for the operational team
- Part of the high-tech Agile development teams to find the best solution to fit their needs and to have that implemented in the best way
- Ability to do presentation of concepts to other teams
What to bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAN/NAS storage administration and architecture
- Proficiency proof knowledge with different storage technologies
- Knowledge of storage Networking (Brocade, Cisco SAN switches, zoning, multipathing)
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for automation
- Virtualization technologies as VMware and computing platform such as Cisco UCS is a plus
- Knowledge of modern technologies as NVME over Fabrics and modern storage configurations
- Experience of IBM AIX and Redhat 9 is a plus
- Capability to work independently
- Fluency in English, good knowledge of German
