Data Engi­neer — SQL/Azure/Database/SSIS/ETL (all)%

Pro­ject: To join a lea­ding com­pa­ny in the ener­gy sec­tor on a data migra­ti­on and trans­for­ma­ti­on pro­ject within the Azu­re Cloud envi­ron­ment. This is a remo­te or hybrid con­tract (Euro­pe-based), with occa­sio­nal tra­vel to Switz­er­land or Spain on sche­du­led demand.

Tasks:

  • Sup­port the migra­ti­on and trans­for­ma­ti­on of SQL Ser­ver data­ba­ses and BI solu­ti­ons to Azu­re
  • Deve­lop and main­tain ETL pro­ces­ses using SSIS, Azu­re Data Fac­to­ry, and rela­ted tools
  • Work with SQL Ser­ver, SSAS, and Azu­re Syn­ap­se / Data Lake to ensu­re data inte­gri­ty and per­for­mance
  • Col­la­bo­ra­te with BI and infra­struc­tu­re teams to opti­mi­se data pipe­lines and report­ing solu­ti­ons
  • Ensu­re data models and OLAP cubes are pro­per­ly struc­tu­red and docu­men­ted

Requi­red Skills & Expe­ri­ence:

  • Strong expe­ri­ence with Micro­soft BI Stack (SQL Ser­ver, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI) and Azu­re Cloud
  • Pro­ven back­ground in on-prem to cloud data migra­ti­on pro­jects
  • Solid under­stan­ding of ETL, data warehousing, and OLAP con­cepts
  • Expe­ri­ence in a simi­lar Data Engi­neer / BI Engi­neer role
  • Excel­lent com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills and abili­ty to work inde­pendent­ly in a dis­tri­bu­ted team

  • Flu­ent Eng­lish
  • Ger­man or Spa­nish nice to have
