Your Responsibility
The UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) provides expertise on IT Asset Management life cycle, including an analysis of the current IT Asset Management process with focus on Software Asset Management aspects. The successful candidate will process software requests, perform regular license pooling/checks and monitor deployment and retirement of IT Assets (HW and SW). In particular, the ITAM analyses large volume of software entitlements in connection with actual or planned deployment data, supports IT and procurement teams in building licensing models, optimizes license usage based on key license drivers (e.g. number of transactions, number of cards, number of users, etc.) and maintaining effective license positions for various software publishers.
Furthermore, the IT Asset Manager continuously improves the IT asset management process with special focus on the SW Asset Management Process, starting with a gap analysis between the current process and best practice and will lead implementation of the improved process and if required a new tool set.
Your Role

- supportprocurement, building new license models, negotiatingsoftware contracts
andperforming necessary IT asset management tasks for hardware and for software licenses duringprocurement, operation and retirement lifecycle phases with the goal tooptimize IT spend - takeresponsibility on internal and external software audits
toensure both compliance and optimization - ensureproper asset reporting, create dashboards for the IT and Controllingfunction, ensure all procurement, IT security, as well as risk andcompliance procedures are complied with
- providead-hoc administrative support in relation to IT Asset Management whenrequired and build
- leada process gap analysis to further improve the ITAM discipline as well asthe implementation of a new process
- alwaysensure excellent customer service and teamwork across organizations
Your Expertise
- experienceas an IT Asset Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating successfulknowledge and use of enterprise software asset management tools
- proventrack record of designing and implementing a robust IT (Software) AssetManagement process
- strongability to compile data and metrics to allow management for data-drivendecision making
- knowledgeof SAM tools and technology including Flexera, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy orequivalent enterprise software asset management tools
- excellentcommunication skills (written/verbal), with the ability to effectively andproactively interact with management at all levels of the organization inGerman and English
- experiencein working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders on alllevels with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
- Bachelor’sdegree, advanced federal diploma or vocational qualification in IT orBusiness Management
