Your respon­si­bi­li­ties

  • Respon­si­bi­li­ty for advan­cing our mobi­le apps (Digi­tec & Gala­xus) comes with room for crea­ti­ve ide­as to enhan­ce the con­sis­ten­cy of the mobi­le shop­ping expe­ri­ence.
  • Hands-on invol­vement in the con­cep­ti­on, imple­men­ta­ti­on, test­ing, and release of smart nati­ve fea­tures is a key part of the role.
  • Taking owner­ship of the enti­re app cycle includes con­ti­nuous­ly impro­ving qua­li­ty by addres­sing issues and plan­ning and exe­cu­ting refac­to­ring efforts.
  • Oppor­tu­ni­ty to cross-col­la­bo­ra­te on our Android, Web Front­end , and Backend plat­forms as inte­rests and skills deve­lop.
  • Within the team, the agi­le pro­cess is shaped coll­ec­tively, focu­sing on small tasks with short ite­ra­ti­ons to maxi­mi­ze cus­to­mer value.
  • Sup­port­ing less expe­ri­en­ced engi­neers in their dai­ly work and actively sha­ring know­ledge streng­thens the team as a who­le.
  • Open, trans­pa­rent, and clear com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on is essen­ti­al. Pro­vi­ding and recei­ving con­s­truc­ti­ve feed­back is encou­ra­ged.

Your skills

  • Hig­her edu­ca­ti­on degree in com­pu­ter sci­ence (ETH/UNI/FH) or equi­va­lent rele­vant pro­fes­sio­nal expe­ri­ence is requi­red.
  • Pro­ven expe­ri­ence (3+ years) in iOS deve­lo­p­ment with demons­tra­ble Swift exper­ti­se is essen­ti­al.
  • Pas­si­on for iOS app deve­lo­p­ment, along with exper­ti­se in Swift, Swif­tUI, UIKit, Com­bi­ne, Swift Con­cur­ren­cy, and Swift Packa­ge Mana­ger, is high­ly valued.
  • Open­ness to working on an app that incor­po­ra­tes Web­Views is important.
  • Curio­si­ty and wil­ling­ness to learn other tech­no­lo­gies such as Kot­lin (Android), React (Web Front­end), and .NET (Backend) as part of cross-plat­form col­la­bo­ra­ti­on.
  • Fami­lia­ri­ty with test­ing iOS apps, inclu­ding unit tests and UI tests, is expec­ted.
  • Strong under­stan­ding of agi­le soft­ware deve­lo­p­ment prin­ci­ples is bene­fi­ci­al.
  • Eit­her flu­ent Ger­man with Eng­lish pro­fi­ci­en­cy OR flu­ent Eng­lish along with eit­her exis­ting Ger­man skills or a strong moti­va­ti­on to learn the lan­guage on the job with sup­port from our edu­ca­ti­on pro­grams.
