For our cli­ent, a lea­ding com­pa­ny based in Rot­kreuz, we are loo­king for an expe­ri­en­ced Seni­or Embedded Instru­ment Con­trol SW Tes­ter to join the HW Inte­gra­ti­on team. In this role, you act as the cor­ner­stone of con­fi­dence, ensu­ring that the com­plex inter­ac­tions bet­ween elec­tro­nics, mecha­nics, firm­ware, and soft­ware result in a seam­less and relia­ble pro­duct.

As a Seni­or Embedded Instru­ment Con­trol SW Tes­ter, you will join an agi­le working envi­ron­ment of SW experts to bridge the gap bet­ween R&D and the final pro­duct. You will be the pri­ma­ry point of cont­act for com­plex issue ana­ly­sis, hel­ping us unco­ver weak­ne­s­ses ear­ly and buil­ding dia­gno­stic “hooks” direct­ly into our design.

Tasks & Respon­si­bi­li­ties:

  • Nur­tu­ring Sys­tem Inte­gri­ty: Act as a guar­di­an of instru­ment qua­li­ty, ensu­ring the inter­play bet­ween embedded soft­ware and hard­ware is seam­less, robust, and relia­ble.

  • Crea­ti­ve Test Evo­lu­ti­on: Design and deve­lop thoughtful test sce­na­ri­os that explo­re sys­tem resi­li­ence and iden­ti­fy poten­ti­al weak­ne­s­ses ear­ly in the life­cy­cle.

  • Trans­forming Data into Insight: Ana­ly­ze logs and results to turn raw data into meaningful impro­ve­ments, enhan­cing dia­gno­stic capa­bi­li­ties and long-term sup­port­a­bi­li­ty.

  • Col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve Pro­blem-Sol­ving: Own the jour­ney of an issue from dis­co­very to reso­lu­ti­on, working with cross-func­tion­al teams to veri­fy effec­ti­ve solu­ti­ons.

  • Bridge-Buil­ding across R&D: Ser­ve as a key tech­ni­cal part­ner bet­ween deve­lo­p­ment teams and pro­duc­tion, pro­vi­ding cla­ri­ty during com­plex trou­ble­shoo­ting pha­ses.

  • Empowered Owner­ship of Qua­li­ty: Deli­ver vali­da­ted, high-qua­li­ty work packa­ges to ensu­re a smooth tran­si­ti­on of designs to glo­bal part­ners in Ser­vice and Ope­ra­ti­ons.

Qua­li­fi­ca­ti­ons (Must Haves):

  • Edu­ca­ti­on: Degree (BSc/MSc) in Elec­tri­cal, Mecha­ni­cal, or Soft­ware Engi­nee­ring.

  • Pro­fes­sio­nal Expe­ri­ence: Mini­mum 5–7+ years of expe­ri­ence in test­ing within agi­le envi­ron­ments, spe­ci­fi­cal­ly whe­re soft­ware meets hard­ware.

  • IT Skills: Pro­fi­ci­ent with Linux and a strong foun­da­ti­on in test auto­ma­ti­on.

  • Lan­guages: Fluen­cy in Eng­lish is man­da­to­ry.

  • Soft Skills: A curious inves­ti­ga­tor who enjoys lear­ning how things work “under the hood.” You com­mu­ni­ca­te with empa­thy and cla­ri­ty to lead tech­ni­cal fin­dings toward col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve fixes.

Nice to Haves:

  • Cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­ons: IST­QB cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on is a plus, though your abili­ty to think sys­te­ma­ti­cal­ly is the pri­ma­ry focus.

  • Lan­guages: Ger­man lan­guage skills are a gre­at advan­ta­ge for local col­la­bo­ra­ti­on.

  • Mind­set: A proac­ti­ve per­so­na­li­ty capa­ble of buil­ding dia­gno­stic “hooks” direct­ly into designs and chal­len­ging con­ven­tio­nal thin­king pat­terns.
