Juni­or Pro­duct Tech­ni­cal Sup­port Engi­neer (m/f/d)
The Juni­or Pro­duct Tech­ni­cal Sup­port Engi­neer (m/f/d) pro­vi­des tech­ni­cal exper­ti­se for Met­so stir­red mill tech­no­lo­gies with a strong focus on ope­ra­tio­nal sup­port and per­for­mance impro­ve­ment at cus­to­mer sites world­wi­de. The role com­bi­nes cus­to­mer-facing tech­ni­cal sup­port, ope­ra­tio­nal data ana­ly­sis, and col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with engi­nee­ring teams to impro­ve relia­bi­li­ty, avai­la­bi­li­ty, and pro­duct per­for­mance of instal­led equip­ment.
The posi­ti­on is available in Baden (CH), Espoo (FN), York (USA), or Perth (AU), with Baden being the pre­fer­red loca­ti­on.
What you’ll do
Tech­ni­cal Sup­port & Cus­to­mer Inter­face
Pro­vi­de tech­ni­cal sup­port to cus­to­mers and inter­nal stake­hol­ders regar­ding the ope­ra­ti­on, per­for­mance and main­ten­an­ce of stir­red mill equip­ment.
Sup­port plant ope­ra­ti­ons through trou­ble­shoo­ting and tech­ni­cal assess­ments, working with seni­or engi­neers to iden­ti­fy oppor­tu­ni­ties to impro­ve equip­ment per­for­mance and avai­la­bi­li­ty.
Par­ti­ci­pa­te in site visits to inves­ti­ga­te tech­ni­cal issues, sup­port com­mis­sio­ning acti­vi­ties and iden­ti­fy impro­ve­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties.
Tech­ni­cal Ana­ly­sis & Con­ti­nuous Impro­ve­ment
Ana­ly­se ope­ra­tio­nal and pro­cess data to sup­port per­for­mance assess­ments and iden­ti­fy poten­ti­al opti­mi­sa­ti­on oppor­tu­ni­ties.
Con­duct tech­ni­cal stu­dies, root cau­se inves­ti­ga­ti­ons and preli­mi­na­ry risk assess­ments rela­ted to equip­ment per­for­mance or fail­ures.
Deve­lop and recom­mend tech­ni­cal solu­ti­ons in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with pro­duct engi­nee­ring, ser­vice teams and sup­pli­ers.
Pro­duct & Engi­nee­ring Col­la­bo­ra­ti­on
Sup­port engi­nee­ring and pro­duct deve­lo­p­ment teams with field feed­back and ope­ra­tio­nal insights from instal­led equip­ment.
Con­tri­bu­te to con­ti­nuous pro­duct impro­ve­ment initia­ti­ves and inter­nal tech­ni­cal pro­jects.
Main­tain tech­ni­cal docu­men­ta­ti­on and pro­duct data within the PLM envi­ron­ment throug­hout the pro­duct life­cy­cle.
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Mecha­ni­cal Engi­nee­ring, Pro­cess Engi­nee­ring, Metall­ur­gi­cal Engi­nee­ring, Mecha­tro­nics or a com­pa­ra­ble tech­ni­cal disci­pli­ne.
First pro­fes­sio­nal expe­ri­ence, intern­ships or stu­dent pro­jects in mining, mine­rals pro­ces­sing, cement or hea­vy indus­try are an advan­ta­ge.
Solid tech­ni­cal under­stan­ding of indus­tri­al equip­ment and mecha­ni­cal sys­tems.
Strong ana­ly­ti­cal mind­set with the abili­ty to work with ope­ra­tio­nal and pro­cess data.
Struc­tu­red, solu­ti­on ori­en­ted approach and strong pro­blem sol­ving skills.
Good com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills and abili­ty to col­la­bo­ra­te with inter­na­tio­nal cus­to­mers and cross?functional teams.
Con­fi­dent use of MS Office, par­ti­cu­lar­ly Excel; expo­sure to engi­nee­ring tools or PLM sys­tems is a plus.
Fluen­cy in Eng­lish; addi­tio­nal lan­guages are an advan­ta­ge. Wil­ling­ness to tra­vel inter­na­tio­nal­ly (approx. 20%).
