Embedded Rust Engineer vacancy for our Rotkreuz based client in the Pharma sector.
Your tasks:
- Develop concepts and participate in feasibility studies to meet technical requirements.
- Perform and take ownership in software development tasks.
- Lead work package definition, estimation, and planning, and enhance or document SW unit specifications and designs.
- Review designs and contribute to the SW architecture, defining quality attributes and staying updated with technology trends.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of complex issues and provide bug fixes for post-market software releases.
- Ensure compliance with processes, propose improvements, and stay informed about regulatory and market standards.
Your experience/knowledge:
- University degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on Rust
- Hands-on experience developing embedded or systems-level software
- Experience with real-time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) or a comparable RTOS
- Experience with hardware communication protocols: CAN bus
- Practical understanding of real-time constraints: latency, jitter, task scheduling
- Highly motivated, deadline-focused, with a proactive and thorough way of working
- Willingness to work in a regulated environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace or industrial safety)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in English
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with IEC 62304, ISO 13485 or IVDR (medical device software lifecycle standards)
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Domain Driven Design)
- Kubernetes, Docker for CI/build environments
- Experience in agile development environments
- German language skills
